We Dream…
Long before time, there was a dream,
He dreamed up skies and birds and seas,
He called them forth and forth they came,
To sing the glories of His name.
Then in His breath, with His own hands,
He crowned creation; He made man,
And as their hearts began to beat,
He gave them power to dream a dream.
He shared His power, yet, He knew,
His dream would break and their’s would too.
Right there in history’s earliest page,
The Lord, Himself, would dream again.
He wrote His dream in red and white,
Shining light through darkest night,
All dreams would live in single Man,
All eyes would see through nail pierced hands.
To dream is life, to dream is power,
To dream can change and shape the hour,
But dreams are only tiny seeds,
Dreams take faith to grow a tree.
Faith will quench the desert land,
Faith will make the fallen stand.
Faith will touch the driest seed,
Faith will make the dead to breathe.
The power is still on heaven’s throne,
The power is ours to make our own.
Write victory upon furrowed brow,
Rise up and take the power now!
Dream again and dream again,
Dream Big and Wide and High and Well,
Our courage hangs on that we know,
We dream because He dreamed before.
Rise up now and take your stand!
He’s reaching down to take your hand,
Fight the battle, run the race,
Seek His heart and seek His face,
The time is here; it’s here and now;
Trade weakness for His victory crown,
And into dry bones breath will rise,
And fallen dreams will come to life!
